BLUEWAVE®: a new HME range of lead-free alloys

HME brass rods are already perfectly compliant with the strictest national requirements on lead content prevailing across Europe. In the US, a set of specific regulations requiring lead-free materials in contact with drinking water are currently in place in California and Vermont (Bills 1953 of California and S.0152 of Vermont) and will go into effect in Maryland on January 1st 2012 (HB.357). Similar evolution is expected at a federal level (H.R. 5289).

To support our customers exporting to the US, HME has developed BLUEWAVE®, an innovative range of lead-free alloys:

  • 100% compliant with California and Vermont Standards
  • certified and listed by NSF according to NSF/ANSI Standard 61 - Annex G (reference US Standard for products in contact with drinking water)

BLUEWAVE® is an eco-friendly solution offering solid and hollow rods, bars and wires with outstanding technical properties and guaranteeing the full recycle of scraps.
